This Privacy Policy explains how Wadsworth.ai ("Wadsworth," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information about you when you use our Service. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to being transparent about our practices.
Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and, optionally, your name. If you use LinkedIn OAuth, we receive your LinkedIn profile name and headline — nothing else.
Business information: To generate your marketing plan, you provide details about your business or creator profile — name, description, website URL, target audience, and social channels. This information is stored and used to personalize the Service for you.
Generated content: Marketing plans, calendars, carousels, videos, and other content created using the Service are stored in your account so you can access them later.
Usage data: If you consent to analytics cookies, we collect anonymous data about how you use the Service — which features you use, session length, and general navigation patterns. This data is collected via Google Analytics and does not include personally identifiable information.
Payment information: Billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details on our servers.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your business information to train AI models without explicit consent.
When you use Wadsworth, your business information and content requests are sent to third-party AI providers (currently Anthropic for text generation and Replicate for image generation) to produce outputs. These providers process your data under their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We have configured our integrations to minimize data retention by these providers where possible.
Your business description, marketing context, and content prompts are transmitted to these AI services. Do not include sensitive personal data (social security numbers, medical information, financial account details) in your business descriptions or content requests.
We share your information only with:
We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third parties for commercial purposes.
Essential cookies: We use session cookies for authentication and security. These are required for the Service to function and cannot be declined.
Analytics cookies: With your consent, we use Google Analytics (G-JTE6CBN4KF) to understand how the Service is used. These cookies are only set after you explicitly accept analytics in our cookie banner. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for wadsworth.ai.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or billing purposes (typically up to 7 years for financial records).
Generated content (marketing plans, carousels, etc.) is retained while your account is active and deleted when your account is closed.
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@wadsworth.ai. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our legal basis for processing your data is:
You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA. To make a request, contact privacy@wadsworth.ai.
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure authentication via Supabase Auth, and row-level security on all database tables. However, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication where available.
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Service. The date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last updated.
